Rental & customer service attendants
We are hiring!
Work at the beach, by the water, at Fort Worden State Park.
We have multiple, part-time or full-time seasonal positions available as rental & customer service attendants.
Wage: $16-18 /hr dependent on experience + $2/hr bonus paid out after successful completion of the season.
Schedule: Variable, based on weather & customer interest. Generally 9:45 am to 6:15 pm. We have shifts available to fill each day of the week. Candidates must be available until at least Labor Day (September 4th) but having all of September available is desirable, and work may be available through the first half of October.
Duties:
60% of position will be managing in-person rentals at Fort Worden. Specifically: setting up tent & facilities, assisting customers, collecting waivers, providing rental information, orienting customers to rental guidelines and equipment, helping customers move kayaks and paddleboards, communicating with management, posting to social media, cleaning and organizing equipment/ space.
40% of position will include responding to customers' inquiries via call, text, and email.
Required abilities: Ability to lift 30 lbs, basic proficiency with computers, tablets, & smartphones, ability to pass a criminal background check (though not all violations may preclude someone from employment), independent transportation to and from Fort Worden, ability to communicate clearly verbally and in writing, good customer service skills, friendly demeanor and positive attitude, and the ability to work independently.
Desired abilities: ability to safely lift 55 lbs (from the ground).
